Yesterdays educational conference provided the CPBS with a host of facts and figures which will certainly impact on its policies in the coming years. There is good news on the inbreeding coefficient in that it hasn't increased in the last ten years and remains at an average of 4.4%. There was very good news on HWSSD in that only 1% of the 230 randomly selected and tested were affected by the disease. The carrier status was more sobering with 19%, being carriers and this will need attention, more details to follow.
